Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

This policy governs refunds, cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows for every service offered on getcontact.blog. Where a service page shows a shorter summary, that summary is for convenience only — this page and the Terms & Conditions are the binding documents.

2. Free services

Free services involve no payment, so no refund applies. If you believe you were charged for something advertised as free, contact billing@getcontact.blog within 30 days and we will reverse it in full.

4. Resume services

• Full refund: requested within 24 hours of purchase and before drafting has started.
• 50% refund: cancellation after drafting has started but before the first draft is delivered.
• No refund: once the first draft has been delivered. This is because the deliverable is a bespoke digital document that cannot be returned. Revision rounds remain available to you.
• Express turnaround fee: non-refundable once work has begun.

5. Interview preparation

• Full refund: before the first scheduled session, minus third-party payment processing fees.
• Pro-rata refund: after session one, unused sessions are refunded at the per-session rate ($99.67 per session on the 3-session sprint).
• Rescheduling: free with at least 12 hours’ notice. Less than 12 hours counts as a used session.
• No-shows: counted as used, non-refundable.
• Expiry: sessions expire 60 days after purchase and are non-refundable thereafter.
• Recordings: non-refundable once delivered.

6. Leadership & executive coaching

• 6-session program: full refund within 14 days of purchase provided no more than one session has been used.
• After session two: unused sessions are refunded pro-rata, minus a 15% administrative fee to cover intake, assessment and scheduling costs.
• Rescheduling: free with 24 hours’ notice; inside 24 hours counts as a used session.
• Intake and assessment fees: non-refundable once the assessment has been delivered.
• Executive retainer: cancel any time with 14 days’ written notice. The current month becomes non-refundable once the first session of that month has been used. Unused sessions in a cancelled month are credited to a future month or transferred, not refunded.
• No auto-renewal: retainers do not renew without your explicit written confirmation.

7. Consulting

• Free cancellation or rescheduling: up to 24 hours before the scheduled session.
• Cancellation inside 24 hours: charged at 50% of the session fee.
• No-show: charged in full.
• Cancellation by us: you are never charged, and any prepaid amount is refunded in full or rebooked at your preference.
• Prepaid hour blocks: unused hours are refundable within 90 days of purchase, minus a 10% administrative fee.
• Completed sessions: non-refundable once the session has taken place and follow-up notes have been sent.

8. Bundles & add-ons

Bundles (such as the Career Accelerator) are priced at a discount to the sum of their parts. Therefore:

• Full refund is available within 7 days of purchase and before the second live session.
• After that, unused sessions are refunded pro-rata at the bundle’s internal per-session rate, minus a 15% administrative fee.
• Digital deliverables already delivered (resume, cover letter, LinkedIn rewrite, recordings) are non-refundable, and their standalone value is deducted from any refund.
• Add-ons follow the refund terms of their parent service.

9. How to request a refund

1. Email billing@getcontact.blog from the email address used at purchase.
2. Include your order reference, the service name, the purchase date and the reason for the request.
3. We acknowledge all requests within 2 business days.
4. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

10. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback. Almost every dispute we receive is resolved directly within 48 hours. Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in suspension of access to active services while the dispute is investigated.

11. Exceptions

We may decline a refund where there is evidence of abuse — for example, downloading and redistributing paid materials, repeated refund requests across multiple purchases, or fraudulent payment methods. Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer law in your jurisdiction.

1. Who we are

getcontact.blog (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent career and executive coaching practice. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any employer, recruiter, applicant tracking system vendor or third-party brand.

2. What we collect

• Information you give us: name, email address, phone number (optional), the content of your messages, intake forms, resumes and career documents you choose to share.
• Transaction information: the service purchased, amount, date and a payment reference. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never stored by us.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL and approximate location derived from IP.
• Communication records: emails, chat transcripts and session notes.

3. How we use it

• To deliver the coaching, resume, interview and consulting services you request.
• To respond to enquiries and provide 24/7 human support.
• To process payments, refunds and cancellations.
• To improve our services, content and website experience.
• To send service emails (confirmations, scheduling, policy changes). Marketing emails are sent only with consent and every one includes an unsubscribe link.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Legal bases

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: contract (delivering services you purchased), legitimate interests (improving our services, preventing fraud), consent (marketing emails, optional cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment processors to take payments and issue refunds.
• Scheduling and communication tools used to run sessions and send email.
• Hosting and analytics providers that operate this website.
• Professional advisers or authorities where legally required.

All processors are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work, and optional analytics cookies to understand which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; strictly necessary cookies are required for core functionality.

7. Retention

• Enquiry and chat records: 24 months.
• Client documents (resumes, intake forms): 24 months after the engagement ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Invoices and payment records: as required by tax law (typically 7 years).
• Session notes: 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@getcontact.blog and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable third-party processors. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

10. Children

Our services are intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

By accessing getcontact.blog or purchasing any service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase services.

We provide coaching, editing, preparation and advisory services. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, promotions, salary increases or any specific career outcome. Hiring decisions are made solely by employers. Any statistics or testimonials shown on this site describe individual past experiences and are not a promise of future results.

4. Services & scope

The scope of each service is described on its service page. Work outside that scope requires a separate purchase. We reserve the right to decline an engagement where it falls outside our competence or creates a conflict of interest.

5. Free services

Free resources are provided “as is” for general educational purposes. No payment details are required for free services. We may modify or withdraw free resources at any time without notice.

6. Payments & pricing

• Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are shown before checkout.
• Payment is taken at the time of booking or purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Taxes, currency conversion charges or bank fees may apply depending on your location and payment method.
• We may change prices at any time; changes do not affect services already purchased.
• Retainers do not auto-renew without your explicit written confirmation.

7. Refunds & cancellation

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Different services have different refund windows — please read the relevant section before purchasing.

8. Client responsibilities

• Provide accurate, truthful information. We do not fabricate experience, qualifications or credentials.
• Attend sessions on time and respond to requests for materials reasonably promptly.
• Ensure you have the right to share any documents you send us.
• Make your own final decisions about your career. Our advice is guidance, not a substitute for your own judgement or for legal, tax or financial advice.

9. Confidentiality

We treat the content of your sessions and documents as confidential. We will not disclose them to your employer or any third party without your written consent, except where required by law. You agree to keep any proprietary coaching materials we provide confidential for your own use.

10. Intellectual property

All site content, frameworks, templates, worksheets and written materials are owned by getcontact.blog and protected by copyright. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use deliverables we create for you (for example, your rewritten resume). You may not resell, redistribute or publish our frameworks or templates commercially.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, scrape content at scale, impersonate others, or use our services for any unlawful purpose.

12. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites or tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in the 3 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost opportunities, lost income or lost profits.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the services, or your provision of unlawful, misleading or infringing content.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our practice is registered, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you locally.
